It’s only a short drive from the busy downtown area to Lake Las Vegas, but the sunset looks different from there. I feel at peace here as the sun sets over the hills and water that sparkles. This is one of those places where I can take my time and really enjoy the quiet side of the city.

Sloan Canyon in Henderson is a great place to see the sunset if you’re willing to travel a little farther. The area is well-known for its natural trails and rock carvings. At sunset, the sky turns a deep orange and purple color. I often feel like I’ve found a hidden part of Las Vegas when I go there. It’s not too crowded, and it’s right in the middle of the valley’s natural beauty.
