About the Big Apple hotel
As its name suggests the Big Apple hotel, was inspired by the city that never sleeps and includes fun imitations of the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge and New York Harbour.
This mini version of the NY skyline is an impressive sight to see on the Strip.
It’s quite a family-friendly hotel with lots of things to keep you entertained. And the rollercoaster is one of the most exhilarating of the tourist attractions in Las Vegas.
What’s the rollercoaster at New York New York, Vegas like?
We had a fantastic time climbing and falling against this replica skyline and 150ft copy of the Statue of Liberty.
The theme of NY NY continues throughout with the ride’s station based on a Big Apple subway station and the three trains have been done up like New York taxis.
The cost of visiting all the great attractions Las Vegas has to offer can really add to the cost of your trip. To help keep costs down we usually get a Las Vegas Power Pass
With it you’ll have access to over 20 attractions, tours, rides etc. The Power Pass is worth more than $500 in admissions and discounts.
For just under three minutes the train loops, twists and spirals with speeds of 67 mph and drops up to 144ft giving you excellent views of the Strip, if you can keep your eyes open. Remember to smile as you pass the camera (something my wife Victoria struggles with and you can always see the terror on her face.)
What tickets are available?
Individual tickets cost $14 but if once isn’t enough for you get a Scream pass for $25 which lets you take as many rides as you like on the rollercoaster all day and gives you $2 off a souvenir photo.
There are other options available. A family of four can get a pass for $60 which includes four ride tickets and two souvenir photos.
