Like the Mirage, the golden hue of Mandalay Bay the Hotel is created by the eye catching windows made with actual gold leaf.

The Mandalay Bay opened in 1999 and has a really modern feel. However, that wasn’t the end of the building work. A convention centre was added in 2003 and another tower, called THEhotel Mandalay Bay followed in 2004.

There’s a handy monorail that runs between the Mandalay Bay Hotel Vegas and the neighbouring Luxor Hotel Vegas and the Excalibur which we’ve used many times. It’s a great feet saver!

Sleeping and Eating

There are over 3,000 hotel rooms to choose from at the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas NV which offer great views of the Strip and the hotel’s pool area. They’ve recently been remodelled and now offer 42 inch plasma screens and sumptuous furnishings. If you’re after an elegant suite stay at THEhotel Mandalay Bay or for exclusivity make a reservation at the Four Seasons housed on floors 35 to 39 of the Mandalay tower.

There’s a myriad of Mandalay Bay restaurants to choose from. In fact there are 24 eateries including both casual to fine dining options serving pretty much every type of cuisine from Chinese to Seafood to Burgers. You need never leave the hotel!

Entertainment

Mandalay Bay in Vegas might not be in the most central location on LV Boulevard but it’s worth making a trip here to browse the Shoppes at Mandalay Place and to visit the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay As well as a fabulous beach it also has a spa, nightclubs, and a theatre which has welcomed Broadway shows such as the Lion King.
